- What buyers misunderstand
- The name covers two different experiences. Around the station it's towers, and in the established streets of Brentwood Park it's one of the beautiful pockets of North Burnaby, where I've seen families very happy. Know which one you're buying.
- What to investigate
- In the towers, check your walk to a coffee and how Lougheed treats you at rush hour, and find out how much of the building went to investors. See buying near SkyTrain. Don't assume you're getting a Vancouver discount, either. Pull the real comparables first.
- Who it suits
- Tower buyers who want to go car-free, and families who want a home and a lot they control near the parks.
- The tradeoff
- A tower gets you transit and convenience, alongside a lot of competing condos at resale. A detached pocket gets you quiet, at a price closer to Vancouver than people expect.
